BMKG Ungkap 13 Zona Megathrust yang Tersebar di Indonesia, Ancaman Tsunami Mengintai

SRIWIJAYAPLUS.COM – BMKG mengungkapkan wilayah Indonesia khususnya selatan Jawa dan barat daya Sumatera memiliki potensi gempa bumi megathrust yang mampu menimbulkan ancaman tsunami 34 meter.

Peneliti BMKG bahkan telah berani membuka data menyebutkan ada 13 zona megathrust di wilayah Indonesia yang teridentifikasi dan dapat menyebabkan potensi tsunami 34 meter.

Setelah dikutip YouTube tvOneNews pada Minggu 11 Desember 2022, peneliti BMKG Pepen Supendi
mengungkapkan telah mengidentifikasi 13 zona megathrust di Indonesia.

Pepeng mengungkapkan bahwa sumber gempa bumi yang ada di wilayah Indonesia oleh empat lempeng tektonik utama, Lempeng Indo-Australia, Lempeng Eurasia, Lempeng Pasifik, dan Lempeng Pilipine.

Ini ada rincian 13 zona megathrust yang tersebar dari wilayah Aceh hingga Papua, yaitu:
