” Saya kenal betul beliau sangat mengayomi masyarakat. Bahkan suatu ketika saya pernah diundangnya untuk bermain badminton. Saat saya bermain dia menunggui saya hingga selesai main sampai jam 12 malam,” ungkap Dewa mengenang kebersamaannya Rabu (1/3/2023).
Diakui Dewa, ia sudah lama mengenal Abah Toyib, bahkan Ketika ia masih menjadi mahasiswa semester dua. Sebelum Abah Toyib meninggal seperti punya firasat. Saat itu ia baru pulang kantor.
“Entah kenapa kemarin terlintas wajahnya di benak saya. Saya spontan langsung hadir tempat beliau. Saya kirim pesan melalui WA kepada anaknya, dapat kabar Abah Toyib di ruang Elisabeth nomor 9, dan saya langsung ke sana,” bebernya.
“Ketika saya disana, istrinya memberi tahu kepada beliau bahwa Ratu Dewa hadir. Beliau sempat menggerakan matanya dan mau berbicara dengan saya, tetapi suaranya sudah serak tidak bisa. Tapi yang saya tangkap satu hal beliau tahu kehadiran saya,” ujar Dewa.
Selain pernah mengidap penyakit jantung, lanjutnya, Abah Toyib juga ada obesitas sehingga jika beraktivitas sering menggunakan alat bantu tongkat untuk berjalan.
Dewa mengajak masyarakat untuk mendoakan Abah Toyib dan semoga Husnul khotimah. “Semoga amal ibadah beliau diterima di sisi Allah.”
