IDAI Sarankan Hindari Dulu Paracetamol Sirup Untuk Obat Anak

SRIWIJAYAPLUS.COM – Para orang tua sudah paham dengan obat penurun demam Paracetamol sirup pada anak. Ketika demam, anak umumnya diberikan obat tersebut untuk penurun demam.

Namun baru-baru ini paracetamol sirup sedang diteliti karena bisa saja dikaitkan dengan penyakit ginjal akut misterius.

Ketua Pengurus IDAI dr. Piprim Basarah Yanuarso, SpA (K) mengatakan sejauh ini paracetamol adalah obat umum untuk penurun demam. Dan khusus untuk anak biasanya diberikan jenis sirup.

“Akan tetapi soal obat Paracetamol dikaitkan dengan penyakit ginjal akut misterius belum ada konklusi atau mengarah pada satu kesimpulan ke arah sana ya,” kata dr. Piprim dalam keterangan virtual, Selasa (18/10).

“Kami hanya menganjurkan waspada dini. Jadi kalau dari rapat Kementerian Kesehatan, upaya kewaspadaan dini ya nanti saja dilanjutkan minum obatnya. Ini demi kewaspadaan dini, nanti saja bisa dilanjutkan. Namun belum ada kepastian soal itu,” ujarnya.

Seiring merebaknya gangguan ginjal ini terjadi bersamaan dengan meninggalnya 70 anak di Gambia yang diakibatkan penggunaan sirup obat batuk buatan India.
