Namun pada masa penataan marga zaman penjajahan Belanda, Marga Semendaway dirubah menjadi empat marga, yakni Marga Semendaway Soekoe I, Marga Semendaway Soekoe II, Marga Semendaway Soekoe III dan Marga Gunung Batu.

Pada masa kini Minanga dimekarkan menjadi dua desa. Desa Minanga Tongah dan Desa Minanga Besar yang masuk Kecamatan Semendaway Barat.
