Kendati demikian, hasil minor itu tak terlalu dipedulikan oleh Shin Tae-yong. Sebab meski kalah, ia melihat timnya mengalami perkembangan.
“Memang uji coba ini tidak begitu penting untuk skor hasil akhir pertandingan,” ujar Shin Tae-yong, disadur dari laman PSSI.
“Memang kekalahan ini sangat disayangkan, tapi permainan semakin membaik dan pasti akan menjadi lebih baik lagi,” katanya menambahkan.
Tiga hari sebelumnya, Timnas Indonesia U-20 juga berlatih tanding dengan Persis Solo U-20, di Stadion PTIK. Hasilnya, kedua tim bermain sama kuat 0-0.
Dari laga uji coba kontra Persija U-18, Shin Tae-yong juga ingin melihat kualitas Ronaldo Kwateh dan kawan-kawan. Sebab, penyelenggaraan Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 2023 tinggal beberapa hari lagi.
“Laga uji coba ini juga saya ingin mengecek kemampuan individu pemain. Saat ini, semua pemain harus mengasah kemampuan mereka, apalagi Kualifikasi Piala AFC U-20 semakin dekat,” imbuh Shin Tae-yong.
Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 2023 akan digelar pada 14-18 September 2022 di Surabaya. Timnas Indonesia U-20 dijadwalkan bertolak ke Kota Pahlawan pada Rabu (7/9/2022).
Timnas Indonesia U-20 akan berangkat ke Surabaya, Jawa Timur pada Rabu (7/9/2022) besok untuk melanjutkan persiapan sebelum bertempur di Kualifikasi Piala Asia U-20 2023.
