Telkomsel sebagai salah satu pelaku industri di Indonesia yang memiliki komitmen dalam menjalankan bisnis secara seimbang dan berkelanjutan turut berperan aktif melalui inisiatif Telkomsel Jaga Bumi dalam mendukung upaya dalam mengurangi dampak akibat dari masalah lingkungan.

“Salah satunya yang menjadi perhatian Telkomsel adalah permasalahan atas dampak pengelolaan sampah plastik. ”

Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) 2021 dan Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) menyebutkan bahwa pada tahun 2021 total sampah plastik Indonesia mencapai 11,6 juta ton, atau sampah plastik menyumbang sebesar 17 persen dari total sampah nasional yang mencapai 68,5 juta ton .

Melalui aksi kolaboratif bersama PlusTik, Telkomsel mengambil langkah terdepan untuk menghadirkan solusi atas persoalan limbah plastik di Indonesia. Upaya ini sekaligus menjadi langkah Telkomsel dalam membantu pemerintah, sekaligus dukungan terhadap pembangunan berkelanjutan yang menjadi salah satu pembahasan utama pada forum G20.”

“Kami sangat senang sekali ketika Telkomsel mengajak PlusTik berkolaborasi untuk mengurus sampah plastik, terutama sampah bermateri plastik dari produk Telkomsel sendiri yaitu limbah hasil kemasan dan cangkang kartu perdananya,” kata Founder dan CEO PlusTik Reza Hasfinanda. (*)
