Tidak seperti kartu SIM fisik, umumnya cukup memasukkan kartu SIM ke dalam slot kartu SIM perangkat dan segera melakukan registrasi singkat.

Masing-masing operator seluler tersebut memiliki cara aktivasi eSIM yang berbeda-beda, namun pada praktiknya, pengguna hanya perlu membeli paket eSIM dengan paket data yang ada dan mengaktifkannya sesuai dengan kebijakan masing-masing operator.

Berikut cara menggunakan eSIM pada iPhone:

1. Buka pengaturan iPhone anda, lalu tekan seluler
2. Add eSIM, gunakan kode QR
3. pindai kode yang telah diberikan operator, dan eSIM diunduh secara otomatis
4. Setelah eSIM diunduh, layanan akan dimulai dengan panggilan serta pesan teks akan mulai masuk
