SRIWIJAYAPLUS.COM – Apple telah menggunakan eSIM dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, bahkan sejak era iPhone X, namun penggunaan eSIM di Indonesia masih sangat rendah karena sedikit orang yang mengetahuinya.

Ada banyak keuntungan menggunakan kartu eSIM daripada kartu SIM fisik, mulai dari keamanan yang lebih baik hingga mendukung beberapa saluran telepon dalam satu perangkat.

Namun, ada beberapa proses penyiapan untuk menggunakan eSIM.

Tidak seperti kartu SIM fisik, umumnya cukup memasukkan kartu SIM ke dalam slot kartu SIM perangkat dan segera melakukan registrasi singkat.

Selain itu, banyak operator telepon yang tidak menawarkan eSIM di Indonesia. Hanya dua operator yang menawarkan eSIM yaitu Smartfren dan Indosat.

Masing-masing operator seluler tersebut memiliki cara aktivasi eSIM yang berbeda-beda, namun pada praktiknya, pengguna hanya perlu membeli paket eSIM dengan paket data yang ada dan mengaktifkannya sesuai dengan kebijakan masing-masing operator.

Berikut cara menggunakan eSIM pada iPhone:

1. Buka pengaturan iPhone anda, lalu tekan seluler
2. Add eSIM, gunakan kode QR
3. pindai kode yang telah diberikan operator, dan eSIM diunduh secara otomatis
4. Setelah eSIM diunduh, layanan akan dimulai dengan panggilan serta pesan teks akan mulai masuk

Jika eSIM tidak berfungsi sepenuhnya, hidupkan ulang ponsel dan masalahnya akan teratasi. Dan jika Sobat Tek ingin mengganti perangkat, eSIM dapat ditransfer ke perangkat baru dengan cara sebagai berikut.

Buka Pengaturan, Seluler, Tambah Paket Seluler, lalu pilih Transfer dari iPhone lain.
